We here at Anderson Pens hate to wait for a delivery when we’ve ordered something online, and we know you do too. The first several months of this year, we have or will be attending a number of pen shows which means our shipping is delayed. In compensation for this, we have reduced our US shipping charges for small and medium packages. Small flat rate priority shipping goes from $6 to $5 and medium flat rate priority shipping goes from $12.50 to $8. Yes, we are taking a loss on every single one of these packages, but your satisfaction is important to us and we hope this helps to make up for any pen show related delays.
Another thing to note about our shipping practices is that we never add a hidden charge for packing materials or handling. In fact, we partner with local business to reuse packing peanuts that would otherwise end up in the landfill. This reduces our costs, which means we pass those savings on to you by not charging extra.
Please also remember no shipping table is perfect. Many shipping tables do not take an item’s girth into account. Please feel free to question if a shipping rate seems high and we will happily look into it but the safety and security of your package is our priority. We often refund shipping charges if the actual amount is much less than the amount charged.
Individual items valued over $250 or more are still charged a $2.50 signature confirmation fee for your protection.
For our international customers, sadly there is no standard shipping rate and varies greatly country to country, which is why we will be sticking with our current rates. We’ll keep these prices in effect through the first week of May (through the Chicago Pen Show) and may consider extending based on your feedback.
