Swapping Nibs on Lamy Pens

One of the great things about most Lamy pens is the ability to easily change nibs.

The majority of the Lamy line of pens, Safari, VistaAL-Star, Logo, and Studio, all use the same interchangeable nib. These nibs are inset on a set of rails on the feed. The nib can be pulled off by hand, or in the situation of a more difficult nib, can be removed with the ease of using regular scotch tape. Simply put a piece of tape on the top of the nib and pull straight off.

One thing to be careful of is constant changing of nibs over time may cause the nib to get looser, so use this feature sparingly. With a wide variety of nibs to choose from, one can go from Extra Fine to a 1.9 mm Italic in no time flat. Perfect for going from notes to writing holiday cards without having to have multiple pens.

So go ahead, change it up a little and swap out your Lamy nib!
