The Visconti Speakeasy is new this season from Visconti and is really a unique pen. Let’s take a look at it!
I mean, really, who doesn’t want a pen with a built in flask? The Speakeasy is a large pen by any standard, making the big pens in the Visconti lineup look small. Comparing it to a Montblanc 149 or a Sailor King of Pen it is still bigger. The pen uses the same 23kt Palladium Dreamtouch nib as found on the other high end Visconti pens and has some softness to it. If you want some line variation, you can get it with this pen. I recommend most people looking for a Medium to take the Fine nib and they won’t be disappointed. Visconti nibs seem to run a bit broad in addition to the softness factor.

In addition to the blind cap providing access to a small sanitized flask, the barrel has a small window with a rotating dial to allow you to identify the type of beverage inside the flask. Choose from Whiskey, Sake, Tequila, and others.

The Speakeasy has a faceted cap and blind cap with a smooth center barrel. The combination of red and blue polychrome celluloid really blends well on this pen. The pen fills via international cartridge only. Due to the internal flask, there is no room for a converter.

The Speakeasy comes with a hip flask in a vibrant red, as well as a funnel to fill the flask or the flask in your pen. You will never be left without your favorite beverage.
