Back in 2002, Parker re-released the Parker 51 in a Special Edition in two colors, Black, and Vista Blue.

Offered with a sterling silver cap on the Vista Blue and a Vermeil cap on the Black, the pen was given the Empire cap design that is so prized by collectors. The pen was also the double jewel model.

Unfortunately, the pen was criticized for not having the same collector and nib as the original, and to top it all off, the barrel wall diameter was thin and cracked easily, leading to replacements of a thicker diameter being sent to retailers free of charge.

We have just come into a small supply of these thicker walled replacement barrels to go with your 51 Special Edition pen. Maybe you have a cracked barrel and need a new one, or maybe you don’t have any cracks, but still have the original thin walled barrel. Or maybe you just want another barrel should something happen. Well, now you can. These replacement barrels are hard to come by and are usually priced higher than ours.
