Today I want to talk about the Wahl-Eversharp Skyline Demonstrator Series. The Demonstrator Series comes in four different colors, Clear, Nile Blue, Red Sea, and Terrific Orange. Like the rest of the new Wahl-Eversharp Skyline pens, these pens are made to exact specification to the original, and the caps and clips will even fit on an original Skyline.

The caps all have matching transparent plastic derbies, with smooth Palladium plated caps and gold plated trim. “Skyline Demonstrator” is etched into the bottom of the cap.

The clips are tight so not much in the way of movement, but once in your pocket they are secure and not going anywhere. The clip retains the original double check mark as found on the original skyline pens.

One of the big complaints about the older lever filled versions of the Skyline was that the pen did not post very well. This one does not have that lever to get in the way and posts quite well. Vintage fans will note the difference. The pen posts at approximately 5-7/8″ long, 5-3/16″ barrel length, the grip section is about 3/8″ wide, and the pen is 5-5/16″ capped.

Uncapping the pen we see the gold plated ceramic coated nib, available in one nib size, a fine-medium, and with the ceramic coating gives this pen some softness to it so line variation is possible. The design on the nib is art deco in appearance and Skyline is nicely displayed in an arc at the bottom of the nib.

The pen has a blind cap, underneath which is revealed the converter, or you can remove the converter and use long international style cartridges like those from Waterman, Pelikan, or even the new Edelstein.
