Monteverde Mandarin Orange is a juicy orange ink that lives up to its namesake. Monteverde inks come in a 30ml glass, rectangular bottle that makes filling your pens easy. This review was done with a Pilot Metropolitan F, Lamy Safari B, and on Rhodia blank No. 18 paper.
Monteverde Mandarin Orange is a saturated red-orange that pops off the page. This is certainly not a shy color! It comes very close to Sheaffer Retro Sunset. It has very little shading, allowing for a very consistent look across both fine and broad nibs.
This ink has excellent flow, low feathering, low bleedthrough, and does not have any water resistance. The dry time in a fine nib is very fast at 10 seconds, taking longer in a broad nib at about 30 seconds.
