Lamy AL Star Limited Edition 2016: Charged Green
Believe it or not, the Limited Edition for 2016 is another green. Finally announced to the US market, the Lamy AL Star Limited Edition 2016 will be Charged Green!
The AL-Star is an aluminum pen with a transparent grip and a spring-action metal clip. It’s a light pen, but is quite robust, so it will give you years of use. This year, you can get the AL-Star as a fountain pen, roller ball, and ballpoint.
These pens take the Lamy Z24 converter or Lamy ink cartridges, so they’re easy to get the hang of, which is one of the reasons the Safari/AL-Star fountain pens are recommended for new users. They also use steel nibs (and can be fitted with a Lamy gold nib, if you really want) that are interchangeable, so you can try out anything from an extra-fine to broad, and 1.1 mm, 1.5 mm, and 1.9 mm calligraphy nibs.
