As we get ready for this week’s upcoming Washington DC Pen Show, we are proud to announce the third pen in a series of Special Edition Franklin-Christoph Writing Instruments, this time, the Franklin-Christoph 03 Iterium!
After the success of the model 02 Intrinsic and the model 19 “1901”, as well as the giveaway of the special 03 Intrinsic on our 100th anniversary podcast, we decided it was time to make a blue pen, and we mean a BLUE pen!
The 03 Iterium this time is the same blue we used in the two previous models, but now for the whole pen. The pen is accented by a cream disk at the top of the cap with the Franklin-Christoph logo. The cap is also engraved Franklin-Christoph around the base of the cap as well as the letters “AP” discreetly engraved on the back for Anderson Pens.
The pen has a classic flat top look to it which makes it fairly simple, thus showing off and letting the color do all the talking. The pen posts well and has the cap threads at the end of the section like the 02 Intrinsic does, thus eliminating any discomfort from your fingers resting on sharp threads. In addition, the threads are larger, so even if you do hold your pen all the way at the end of the section, the threads will not cut into your fingers.
The nib is the same #6 sized JoWo nib found on all the other Franklin-Christoph pens so can be exchanged with your other pens. Available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, 1.1 and 1.5 mm Italic sizes.
The 03 is a cartridge converter and uses standard International sized cartridges or the included converter.
This pen will be available soon and in limited quantities at first. You can put in a back in stock notification here, or see us in DC this weekend where we hope to have pens available for people at the show. We will have the prototypes available to view for sure, so stop by and take a look!
Ink It Up!
