It’s September!

Happy Hobonichi!

September Hobonichi

For the Anderson Pens staff, September means Hobonichi time!!! We have expanded our Hobonichi offerings again this year, and there are many really pretty and fun designs. I think Brian has picked out his Techo for the year, and while I had decided against an analog planner this year, I may break down and snag a Cousin for myself after all. Time will tell…

Labor Day

Closed

Our Appleton store will be closed on Monday September 6 for the Labor Day holiday, but we will be open as usual on Saturday for shopping and normal shipping.

Palmer House

We are also prepping for the re-opening of our Chicago store, located inside the Palmer House Hotel, on the ground floor. Our store was closed in March 2020 due to Covid, when the entire hotel was shut down for over a year, and it only recently reopened to the public. While we are ordering product, and pulling some things from the Appleton location, supply chain issues do still exist. We are slowly receiving product from vendors, as they slowly receive it from overseas. I know we are all tired of hearing about Covid issues, but this is sadly a fact of retail life right now – slow deliveries from distributors to retailers.

Shipping

USPS shipping from us to you also continues to run slower this year that it did in 2019. Most of 2020 and 2021 have shown that packages DO arrive, but are taking longer, ESPECIALLY overseas packages. Please keep that in mind when ordering. We do have Fedex and UPS available as shipping options, but you must call or email us for that. We are hoping to integrate this into our website, but it takes time for planning with designers to make the change. Right now, if you NEED a package by a certain date, your best option is to call the store & speak with the store staff, who can take care of that for you.

Fountain Pen Day

Fountain Pen Day is only 2 months away, and right on the heels of that comes Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will have more updates on those holidays down the road.

Happy September, Happy Hobonichi, stay safe & healthy!
