Sailor Urushi King of Pen

The Sailor Urushi King of Pen is Sailor’s largest size fountain pen and is comparable in size and feel to the Montblanc 149 fountain pen or the Pelikan M1000 fountain pen.  The Urushi King of Pen is the same model as the Ebonite King of Pen; with lacquered black ebonite and gold trim . The pen is hand-crafted from high quality black ebonite and then painstakingly finished with up to twelve coats of Urushi lacquer to produce incredibly lustrous color and shine. This pen is well suited for anyone who prefers a larger pen.

Urushi lacquer has been used as a decorative material in Japan for about two thousand years, and Sailor is very skilled at creating quality pieces. The 21kt single tone gold nib is exceptionally smooth. The Bespoke Urushi King of Pen can be selected with a Naginata Togi nib, which is a little wetter and slightly softer than the regular medium and broad nibs. These are excellent nibs either way, and the NT nibs offer a little more variation if that’s what you’re looking for.

The pen can be filled with the included proprietary converter for use with bottled ink or with a standard Sailor cartridge, which is also included.
