Monteverde Peace Blue is from the Emotion series which celebrates the different ways we express ourselves. Monteverde inks come in a conveniently sized 30 ml bottle that provides plenty of ink without taking up too much space on your desk. This review was done with a Pilot Metropolitan F, Lamy Safari B, and on Rhodia blank No. 18 paper.
Monteverde Peace Blue is a soft, dark blue color that is perfect for everyday use both at home and at work. It has a consistent look in both a fine and broad nib, though there is a hint of shading that comes through in a broad.
I have always admired the interesting series and names of Monteverde inks, and it’s a pleasure to know that the colors match that same level of creativity and quality. Monteverde Peace Blue has no water resistance and very little shading, but has excellent flow, no feathering or bleedthrough, dries very quickly in a fine nib at 10 seconds, and a bit longer in a broat nib at about 30 seconds, and cleanup could not be more…peaceful!
Monteverde Peace Blue definitely lives up to its name. It was so relaxing to use an ink I knew was of great quality, a beautiful color, and knowing I could use it for both professional and personal tasks. If you haven’t journeyed into the world of Monteverde inks yet, this would be a great introduction!
As with any ink review, the pen, paper, and person doing the writing will influence the way the ink looks. If you’re not sure about a color, try a sample to see if it’s the one for you.
