Sailor Ink Studio 243 is a reliable, soft medium blue that is perfect for an every day carry. Ink Studio inks come in a 20ml glass rectangular bottle and include a handy sticker set that can be used to label your converter so you can remember which ink is in it. This review was done with a Pilot Metropolitan F, Lamy Safari B and on Rhodia blank No.18 paper.
With low levels of shading, Ink Studio 243 has a fairly consistent look between fine and broad nibs. A small amount of shifting between light and dark can be seen in a broad nib, but the low levels of shading keep things subtle so as not to distract too much.
The ink has good flow without feathering or bleedthrough on Rhodia paper, and had low to moderate levels of shading in a broad nib.. Dry times were good at 20-30 seconds. While the ink is not water resistant, the text was still pretty clear even after the water test.
