TWSBI Vac Mini and Vac 20A Bottle Coming This Week!

It’s official, the long wait is over, the TWSBI Vac Mini and the newly redesigned Vac 20A bottle are being released this week and are on their way to Appleton, WI!

Details are still evolving, but it looks like the Vac Mini uses the same threaded barrel end style as the Mini piston filler. For those that thought the Vac 700 was too large of a pen, this one might just be right for you, yet still holding a ton of ink!

Available only in a clear option, you’ll have easy access to see whatever beautiful color you choose to put inside the pen.

Nib units look to be the same #4 sized nibs as found on the Mini piston filler. These should be interchangeable, and initially come in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, or 1.1 Stubs.

TWSBI looks to have reduced one of the complaints in the original Vac 700, the huge step between the barrel and the section. On the Vac Mini it looks to be greatly reduced.

TWSBI Vac 20A Bottles Also Coming!

Along with the announcement, TWSBI has released a completely redesigned bottle for the Vac Mini, the Vac 20A! While this may look similar to the old Vac 20 bottle, the parts are not interchangeable between models.

One of the highlights of this new bottle design is that it will fit not only the original Vac 700 and the new Vac Mini, but remove the middle grey section and you can use this bottle with any fountain pen!

We have yet to see this in action, be we anticiapte it will be much the same as the Visconti Ink Pot in terms of performance.  After further review, what TWSBI meant was to take the black top off and fill from the bottom well.  🙂  Expect a video of this on the blog as soon as we get them!

Available in Orange, Black, Red, Green, and Blue, there is sure to be a color for everyone.  If you have a TWSBI Vac, you simply pull back on the filling unit, screw the pen tightly into the bottle, invert the bottle, and push down on the filling unit.  On the Vac 700 we had to perform this action twice to completely fill the pen.  We will see what the new pen is like when it gets here!

Pens are on their way to us, and should be here by the end of the week, early next week at the latest. It looks like Christmas comes early this year!

Ink it up!
