The Faber-Castell Loom comes in two styles, the Metallic Loom and the Piano Loom, The Metallic Loom features a matte barrel and cap, whereas the Piano Loom features a highly polished chrome plated barrel and polished cap. Both pens feature metal barrels and caps, and chrome plated polished spring clips.
Faber-Castell Loom Metallic Violet
The clip is wide and turns up at the end of the clip making for entry and exit of your shirt pocket easy. Since it is a spring clip, it can stretch to fit fabrics of different thicknesses with ease. It is a snap cap and has a nice satisfying “Click” to it when in place.
Faber-Castell Loom Metallic Blue
The section is ribbed to provide some texture and grip and prevents your fingers from slipping on the metal barrel. Since the cap is a snap cap, there are no threads to get in the way, leaving for a nice clean appearance.
Faber-Castell Loom Piano Lime Green
The Faber-Castell logo is two knights jousting, and this logo can be seen on the top of the clip, the side of the cap, and on the stainless steel nib. Speaking of the nib, the Faber-Castell nib is removable and interchangeable amongst other pens made by Faber-Castell, so if you own an Ambition, a Basic, or an Ondoro, you can swap nibs easily. One benefit is the nib sits inside a cavity and can be removed without removing the cartridge or converter for ease of cleaning. The nib is ventless and has the nib size clearly marked at the base of the nib and has a neat pattern of dimples over the face of the nib.

The Faber-Castell Loom is a cartridge converter and comes with one cartridge and a spacer cartridge. Converters are sold separately. Both are international sized.
