Montblanc announced today that the 149 and 147 would now come in Platinum trimmed versions! This had been long awaited by admirers of the brand, as they currently offer All other Meisterstuck lines (LeGrand, Classique, and Mozart) in a Platinum finish.
If you’re like me you’ve often wondered why Montblanc has not offered the flagship model 149 in a Platinum trimmed version since it looks so great on the LeGrand. Perhaps with last years 90th Anniversary Red Gold trimmed version they felt they could expand their options. I for one definitely have this on my “must have” list for the future.
The 147 Traveler is a cartridge only pen in the LeGrand size and has a Platinum masked nib with gold at the tip. The 149 has a Platinum-Gold-Platinum tri-combination nib, the reverse of the current 149.
Nib sizes will be Fine or Medium only for both versions. Delivery date is scheduled for sometime in October. When a more firm date is given we will update the blog.
Due to Montblanc pricing policy I cannot list prices here, but suffice it to say these are comparable in price to the regular yellow gold versions with a small premium, and well worth it. If you are interested in obtaining one of these beautiful pens, please Contact Me for more details.
Ink it up!
