Sailor Kabazaiku

Let’s take a look at the Sailor Kabazaiku!

Sailor Kabazaiku Cherry Bark

The Sailor Kabazaiku is a beautiful pen, and I’m not just saying that because I like Sailor pens.

Sailor Kabazaiku

This pen is in the Cherry Bark finish. It is a warm, medium shade of brown made from wild cherry bark wood. Cherry bark woodworking is a traditional Japanese art form and Samurai warriors even used cherry bark to decorate their weapons. The unique pattern of the wild cherry bark on the cap and barrel means that no two pens will be alike. The natural wood grain provides slight texture which is an interesting detail not found in many other pens.

The smooth writing 14kt gold nib is a delight to use – a great every day writer and a solid daily carry.

The thick gold trim band, inscribed with “Denshiro” and “Sailor Japan,” provides an added element of elegance and warmth; the gold complements the rich tones in the wood.

The pen fills with either Sailor proprietary ink cartridges, or with the included converter for use with bottled ink. The Sailor Kabazaiku ships in an attractive presentation box which includes a complimentary bottle of Sailor ink in Black.
