TWSBI 580AL Green
The Diamond 580 is a classically styled fountain pen with a piston ink-filling system, smooth-writing steel nib and a screw-on cap. The traditional mechanism of the fountain pen, combined with a modern industrial design, embodies both the past and the present.
This green is the next color in the 580AL color series – it’s a nice, somewhat olive green – not bright and intense like the Lamy AL-Star Charged Green. The blue came and went really fast, and this one will be no exception. If you like them, if you’re a collector, if you know someone who loves green pens, get one quickly because there’s no guarantee they’ll be restocked. This is a one-time production run by TWSBI.
Each TWSBI comes with a wrench to disassemble your pen, as well as a small bottle of silicone grease to maintain the piston yourself. TWSBI provides these items, as they felt that it was important to allow the user to disassemble and reassemble the pen and completely experience the traditional aspects of owning and using a fountain pen. Indeed, it’s a great way to get to know your pen.
